Eine Fülle von Ideen und Vorschlägen zur Fortentwicklung der Währung, finanzpolitischer oder auch demokratischer Natur, liegen vor. Die Wahl des neuen französischen Staatspräsidenten Emmanuel Macron und dessen ehrgeizige europäische Agenda haben der Debatte neuen Elan verliehen, der in der Veranstaltung der FES von Ökonomen aus Frankreich und Deutschland aufgegriffen wurde… Program Morning session: The threats Guiding questions: Contrary to what one could have hoped for, during the last decade many factors have led to growing divergences within euro area core countries: this is true for growth, public debt trajectories, competitiveness and foreign trade performances, labor market situations…This has contributed to an increase in centrifugal forces that, in a few years, could become harder to curb or to vulnerabilities that could be hard to remedy.
