Spin-off du cycle de conférences : Nouvelles perspectives sur la politique intérieure mondiale en coopération avec le CERC-Bonn
Depuis la signature du traité de l'Élysée en 1963, la coopération entre la France et l'Allemagne est très étroite au sein de la société civile et dans le domaine de la culture, alors que l'harmonisation d'une stratégie commune visant à garantir la paix et la sécurité mondiales à l'avenir ne va pas de soi. Dans ce contexte, le président français Emmanuel Macron a fixé comme objectif de revitaliser les relations franco-allemandes et de fonder un "nouveau partenariat" entre Paris et Berlin. La nouvelle référence doit être le traité d'Aix-la-Chapelle de 2019, qui contient un engagement commun en faveur d'une Europe forte, viable et souveraine.
A l'occasion de cette conférence, Jean-Marc Ayrault et Heiko Maas discuteront des formats de coopération existants en matière de politique étrangère et de sécurité et de leur viabilité face aux défis actuels. Ils discuteront par ailleurs des impulsions qu’il est possible d’attendre de la présidence française du Conseil de l'UE. A la lumière de la crise à la frontière russo-ukrainienne, une des questions majeures du projet commun franco-allemand sera de trouver les moyens de prévenir les initiatives nationales isolées et de promouvoir une nouvelle architecture de sécurité européenne.
